Dear Partner in Health Promotion:
Men United for HIV/AIDS Awareness (MUFHA) is a non-profit tax exempt organization founded by Akil Campbell; MUFHA started as a project during the pursuit of his Master’s in Public Health where his focus was Health Promotion and Disease Prevention.
In addition to quarterly fundraising events, MUFHA will seek funding from individual and corporate contributions, government grants, foundation grants, memorial and honor gifts, bequests and special fund raising events. We are always seeking corporate partners and sponsors; if you would like to donate either financially or in services or materials, please contact us by telephone 919.233.2044.
MUFHA is a 501(c) 3 organization so all contributions are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
MUFHA will work to help make a difference in the lives of people affected and infected with HIV/AIDS and other STDs/STIs for each and every person affected by this pandemic has reason to hope because great advances are being made!
Through your support of MUFHA we will be able to:
- Serve hundreds of clients each year through our support & counseling initiatives.
- Conduct monthly educational programs for at risk persons, and friends and family of HIV positive and at risk men to engage them in prevention
activities and risky behavior reduction.
- Facilitate counseling and free testing for both HIV and other sexually transmitted diseases on planned dates.
Your financial support will make a tremendous difference. You may contribute to MUFHA in a variety of ways; by cash or check, by credit card, or online giving.
To mail your donation,
You may also contribute to MUFHA's funding when you purchase groceries and other items from Food Lion with the Shop & Share Program. Each time you shop at Food Lion and use your MVP card, a portion of your total grocery purchase will be donated to MUFHA. But, you must register your card first....At the end of each quarter Food Lion will divide the funds proportionally among the LionShop & Share organizations depending on their total accumulated sales. Checks are sent to the LionShop & Share organizations approximately six weeks after the quarter ends. In order to receive a check in any quarter, an organization must earn at least $10 during that quarter.
Food Lion knows the importance of community partnerships and the Shop & Share program is there way of helping local organizations to meet the needs of these communities.
Food Lion has locations in South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, Maryland and West Virginia.
It is only with the sponsorship of community partners like you that we are able to meet the needs of the described priority population. Please send the most generous gift you can. We look forward to working with you and thank you for your support.
With grateful appreciation,
Akil Campbell, MPH, CHES
